Have you seen our cover image for this Sunday’s collection? (:
Yup! We are launching a manufactured collection and we thought we should experiment with an outdoor shoot. Heh.
We were torn between Pluck and MyFatLady. After checking out the 2 places, we decided on the latter as there wasn’t a good seating at Pluck.
Heard pretty much good reviews about MyFatLady and we selected 4 cupcakes to be our props for the shoot – Lemon, Red Velvet, Cookies&Cream, Sticky Date.
To our disappointment, none of us liked the cupcakes. They are not as rich in flavours as I expected them to be. Lemon tasted like a normal butter cake. Red Velvet was lack in moisture and taste. Sticky Date was bad (maybe becos’ I was craving for marmalade pantry’s). Cookies&Cream fair just alright without the buttery cream.
I find the cakes were lack in sugar. Or is that what’s good about them? Or probably they weren’t up to standard that particular day?
Anyway, I gotta give them credits for the cutesy icing decorations! Really creative and pretty. Though they taste hard and non-sweet at all. bleh.
Back to the shoot! As it was an impromptu (meaning lack of planning) and having Amy as the photographer, we tried our very best to make something out from it.
We even tried the feeding pose, which looks kinda weird? hahahaa..
cam-whoring pose!
here’s the picture we took while we ‘cam-whored’.
We tried walking poses too~
And here’s the selected shot for our cover! 😀 You can check out the rest that made it to our album at oh! poupée FB Page.
Speaking of tomorrow’s collection, we are so soooooo egg-cited about it! Took us more than a month to get this collection ready. (:
This is a piece inspired by Topshop! When I whatsapp the girls my original piece, we went, “We gotta make this!”. So here’s 4 colors for you to choose from~ I have to emphasize that the material of this piece is very similar to the original Topshop one! We were so happy when our supplier showed us this fabric. (: Let us know what you think about the fabric? We plan to use this fabric on other designs.
Inspired by this season’s trend, we came up with this lovely skater pleat skirt! The cutting of the skirt is so flattering and it was better than what we expected. Amy always wanted a skater skirt but the ones out there makes her hips look bigger. But when she tried on this skirt, she fell in love with it immediately! The thick waistband kinda creates a slimming effect and the sewing of the pleats are done in a way that it doesn’t puff up too much~
This has gotta be our most comfy cardigan till date! The cotton fabric is so soft, smooth and stretchy. We are loving the seashell buttons along the sleeves, as inspired by ZARA. There’s 5 colors to choose from! And get it at only 1/3 of ZARA’s retail price~ 😀
Last item in this collection: Striped Pleat Midi Skirt. I can’t decide which color(s) to keep! The silky polyester fabric is imported from Japan! Hehe. Midi skirts that end just right below knee tend to make the legs look short and stumpy. So we like it to end just above the knees as we know most girls are conscious of the proportions. 😉
Getting tempted!? This collection will be launched tomorrow at 9pm~
Here’s another piece of good news too! We are giving free normal postage and get $3 off if you’re getting 4 manufactured pieces. Heh. Great excuse to shop! 😀
See you babes at www.ohpoupee.com tomorrow~
